The Indian football national team play their second game of the 2021 South Asian Football Federation Championship (SAFF) when they face Sri Lanka on Thursday, October 7 at the Maldives National Football Stadium.

India go into the game on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with Bangladesh, as they should have won the clash considering that they dominated majority of the proceedings and even took the lead courtesy of a Sunil Chhetri strike.

The Blue Tigers head coach, Igor Stimac has come under heavy fire for India's listless displays in the recent past and he will need to ensure his side finish their chances and register their first win of the competition.

Sri Lanka meanwhile have struggled throughout the competition, losing both of their games so far, conceding four goals while scoring just two. They will look to put on a better showing if they are to move from the bottom spot of the table.

When is the game?

The match between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 7 October at the National Football Stadium at 4:30pm IST.

How and where to watch the game?

The match in India will be telecasted on Eurosport and Eurosport HD. The match can be streamed online on the Discovery + app.
