The Indian football national team get their 2021 South Asian Football Federation Championship (SAFF) campaign underway when they face Bangladesh on Monday, October 4 at the National Football Stadium in Male.

India national team head coach, Igor Stimac named a 23-man squad for the tournament, though they come into it without key players in Sandesh Jhingan, Rowllin Borges, and Ashique Kuruniyan. It will be interesting to see how the Blue Tigers cope without these players, though the Croatian still has a number of top players to call upon.

Bangladesh for their part come into this game full of confidence after beating Sri Lanka in their opening game of the tournament and will look to get their second win on the bounce.
