The LaLiga is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, with a number of top players plying their trade in Spain. Being a record goalscorer for a top club in the league is a prestigious honour, with very few being able to score goals on a consistent basis.

With 450 goals in just 438 games, Cristiano Ronaldo can rightly lay claim to being the greatest ever player in Real Madrid's history - with the striker establishing himself as arguably the best marksman in the world during his time in Spain.

The Portugal icon was the main reason why the Los Blancos dominated Europe and he will forever be remembered for his exploits in front of goal.

2. Barcelona - Lionel Messi - 672 goals

Widely regarded as the greatest player in the history of the sport, Lionel Messi scored 672 goals for Barcelona, with the player breaking Pele's record last year to become the man with the most goals for a single club.

Most of the success that the Catalan giants experienced in the last two decades is due to the Argentina icon, with all of his record six Ballon d'Or awards coming when he was at Nou Camp.

3. Atletico Madrid - Luis Aragones - 172 goals

Luis Aragones is more fondly known as being the Spanish coach who started their period of dominance, but it should be remembered that the Spaniard was a brilliant player during his career - and is Atletico Madrid's all-time record goalscorer with 172 goals to his name.

The striker led the club to three LaLiga titles during his playing career and will go down as one of the greatest players to have ever played in the league.
