Richarlison was in a playful mood after Brazil's Olympic triumph over Spain on Saturday and jokingly warned FIFA chief Gianni Infantino that they would see each other again in Qatar next year.
The Everton star won the competition's Golden Boot after scoring five goals, and despite missing a penalty in the final, managed to help his team to the goal medal.
After the final whistle, Richarlison lined up with the rest of his team-mates to receive their medals, and had a message for Infantino when they met.
"Next year it'll be in Qatar, right, baldy?!" Richarlison joked with the FIFA president as he picked up his medal.
Mauricio Savarese, an AP correspondent in Brazil, confirmed that Richarlison did indeed call Infantino “baldie”.
Richarlison has been on duty with the national team since June for the World Cup Qualifiers, prior to Copa America, and Saturday's Olympic final was his 15th game of the summer. Everton boss Rafa Benitez will be hoping his star player returns to action soon, but it is likely he will miss their Premier League opener next weekend.
