Brazil and FC Barcelona legend Rivaldo believes a return to Real Madrid would be risky for Cristiano Ronaldo, amid rumours that link the Portuguese hitman with a move away from Juventus.
Rumours of a Juventus exit for Ronaldo intensified after the Old Lady were eliminated from the Champions League by Porto in the round-of-16.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane even admitted rumours linking the five-time Ballon d'Or winner with a return to the La Liga side may be true.
Rivaldo thinks a Real Madrid return for Ronaldo would make the Spanish club's fans happy, but also warned if things don't go well, the 36-year-old's status as a Los Blancos legend may be damaged.
"It would make the Madridistas very happy, but it would also be a risk," Rivaldo told Betfair, as per Marca. "We must recognise that the Ronaldo who left Real Madrid a few years ago isn't the player that would be coming back.
"Of course, he will continue to score many goals, but it may be that in this stage of his career, too much is being asked of him, and if things don't go well then his status as a legend may be damaged."
Juventus manager, Andrea Pirlo, though, has insisted he remains confident Ronaldo will stay in Turin next season.
