Rating the Signings Made by Manchester United in the Summer Transfer Window

The summer transfer window closed on August 31, and despite the financial constraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of clubs spent big in the window in order to strengthen their squad.
Clubs in the Premier League were even more active than usual, and here, we rate the signings made by Manchester United in the window gone by.
1. Jadon Sancho - €85m
United finally got their man in Jadon Sancho after trying to sign him for more than year, with the Red Devils paying Borussia Dortmund €85million for his services.
The 21-year-old is one of the most exciting players in the game and if he can continue the same form that he displayed at Dortmund, than the Red Devils have a match-winner on their hands.

2. Raphael Varane - €40m
United managed somewhat of a coup after they managed to lure Raphael Varane to Old Trafford from Real Madrid. The Frenchman who is widely considered to be one of the best defenders of his generation, has won everything there is to win in the sport and judging from his debut performance - he has already settled well in England.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo - €15m
United created headlines when they announced that they had reached an agreement with Juventus over the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, with the striker set to come back after a gap of 12 years.
It was at Old Trafford where the five-time Ballon d'Or award winner became a global figure and his arrival will no doubt make the Red Devils strong challengers for the title this season.

4. Tom Heaton - Free Transfer
Tom Heaton has a number of years of experience in England, having played for a lot of clubs during his career and United took that into consideration by signing him for free from Aston Villa.
The 35-year-old will be the third choice goalkeeper at the club and might manage to make a few appearances throughout the season.
