Rating the Signings Made by Barcelona in the Summer Transfer Window

The summer transfer window closed on August 31, and despite the financial constraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of clubs spent big in the window in order to strengthen their squad.
Clubs in the LaLiga too were active in the summer, and here, we rate the signings made by Barcelona in the window gone by.
1. Yusuf Demir - €500,000 Loan Fee
Yusuf Demir was signed by the Catalan giants with an eye for the future, with the club bringing him on a season-long loan with an option to make it permanent in the future for a further €10million.
The 18-year-old has been tipped for great things, with and has been handed the number 11 shirt which was previously worn by Ousmane Dembele.

2. Sergio Aguero - Free Transfer
One of the greatest strikers of his generation, Sergio Aguero joined Barcelona for free after leaving Manchester City after it was reported that he was extremely keen to join Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.
The 33-year-old suffered a injury setback which will see him miss a minimum of three months and it will be interesting to see whether he will be able to perform at the level he showed in England.

3. Memphis Depay - Free Transfer
Ronald Koeman was extremely keen to work with Memphis Depay and he got his wish when the club signed the Dutchman for free from Lyon.
The 27-year-old established himself as one of the most exciting players in the world during his time in Lyon, and he has already become a fan favourite at the Nou Camp - scoring two goals for them so far.

4. Eric Garcia - Free Transfer
Eric Garcia was keen to return back to Barcelona after struggling for gametime at Manchester City, with the Spanish outfit getting him on a free transfer.
Garcia came through the famed La Masia academy, and at 20, he has all the makings to become their rock at the back for a decade or so.

5. Luuk de Jong - Loan Deal
That the club signed Luuk de Jong from Sevilla on a season-long loan deal, came as a surprise to many, considering that the 31-year-old has never been prolific in front of goal throughout his career.
De Jong has played for a number of clubs during his career, and is yet to convince his critics that he is capable of scoring 20 goals a season.
