Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly held talks with Paul Pogba's representatives in order to gauge the situation and see whether they can sign the Frenchman from Manchester United in a potential transfer over the summer.
Pogba has only 12 months left on his current deal with the Red Devils, and Athletic claim that the midfielders representatives have held talks with the Ligue 1 management, considering that a report earlier had claimed that the 28-year-old had turned down a long-term £50million contract offer from United.
The footballing star who was one of the lone bright sparks for France during their disappointing Euro 2020 campaign, had opened up on his situation at Old Trafford, revealing, "I have one year left on my contract, everyone knows that. There have been no concrete proposals for extensions. I'm still in Manchester."
United for their part have already been linked with replacements for the Frenchman, with the names of West Ham United star Declan Rice, Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez and Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, being put forward with a move to Old Trafford.
Pogba has had a mixed time at Old Trafford ever since he returned back to United for a then world-record fee of 89m in 2016, making 199 appearances so far, scoring 38 goals and helping the club win the 2017 Europa League.
