Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has sent a message to striker, Kylian Mbappe by stating that the Frenchman has "no excuse" to look anywhere else after the club completed the sensational transfer signing of Lionel Messi.
PSG unveiled the signing of the Argentinian to the media on Wednesday, with Messi agreeing to a two-year contract with the option of extending his deal by another year. This move comes amid speculation surrounding the future of Mbapp's who's current contract with the club expires in the summer of 2022.
The youngster has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, with the Los Blancos understood to be extremely keen to land the striker in the near future - though Al-Khelaifi believes that the signing of Messi shows that PSG is a more attractive option than clubs in the LaLiga and Premier League.
“I think we have the most competitive team. Now there is no choice for Kylian but to stay here in Paris. I think everybody knows the future of Kylian, people from Paris and the players. He is a really competitive player. He wants to win, he wants to win trophies, he said it in public," he said at a press conference.
"He wanted a competitive team and I think we have got the most competitive in the world. So there is no excuse for him now. He can’t do anything else but stay."
It will be interesting to see what Mbappe decides to do considering that Messi's arrival will no doubt make them the team to beat this season.
