French giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly looking to offload seven players during the January transfer window as they look to balance their wage books.

Mauricio Pochettino's side sit comfortably at the top of Ligue 1, leading by 12 points, but the French giants want to reduce their wage bill.

According to Foot Mercato, no less than seven senior players could be shown the door in January. Goalkeeper Sergio Rico, who is struggling for game time up against Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas, could be on his way out, along with Thilo Kehrer and Abdou Diallo who have also struggled for regular playing time.

Layvin Kurzawa could also find himself on the chopping block, with Pochettino preferring to pick Nuno Mendes and Bernat over him. 28-year-old midfielder Rafinha is another player who could be on his way out of the Parc des Princes, alongwith fellow midfielder Leandro Paredes.

The final name reported is Mauro Icardi. The Argentine has scored just three goals from 15 appearances across competitions in 2021, and hasn't featured for his national side since 2018. SportsWitness claim Everton could be interested in one or more of the aforementioned seven players, with Rafael Benítez looking to bolster his squad in the upcoming transfer window.

The Toffees reportedly have a good relationship with PSG following deals for Idrissa Gueye and Moise Keane, and could hold talks with the French giants at the turn of the year.
