Paris Saint-German have reportedly held talks with Kalidou Koulibaly's agent over a potential move for the Napoli defender this summer.
It was reported earlier this month that Koulibaly is keen to leave Napoli this transfer window, with new Everton boss Rafa Benitez reportedly eager to reunite with his former player. Manchester United were also linked with a move for the Senegal international, along with Premier League champions, Manchester City.
However, Foot Mercato have claimed that informal talks have taken place between PSG and Koulibaly's agent, Fali Ramadani. Corriere Dello Sport have revealed that talks are still ongoing between the two parties, although the Ligue 1 giants are yet to launch an official bid for the 30-year-old.
Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti recently confirmed that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis made Koulibaly available for transfer. “Koulibaly is on the market, but I’d like him to stay, I would chain myself somewhere to keep him," he said. "I have never worked with anyone so good, not just as a player, but also as a man."
PSG have already had a busy summer so far, bringing in Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Achraf Hakimi, but don't seem to be done with their transfer business just yet. They have also expressed an interest in United midfielder, Paul Pogba, and are expected to make a formal bid for the Frenchman in the near future.
