PSG Have Already Sold a Million Lionel Messi Jerseys in One Week

Paris Saint-Germain completed arguably the biggest signing in football history last week when they managed to land Argentina icon, Lionel Messi for free, with the striker penning a two-year deal with the option to extend it by another year.

The signing of the record six-time Ballon d'Or award winner by PSG sent shockwaves around the footballing world, and more specifically when it comes to the merchandising aspect for the Ligue 1 giants.

According to Ole, PSG's jerseys with the Argentine's surname and number 30 were sold out in just 24 hours and that the club already have more than a million orders, both in its physical stores and online.

Each Messi shirt is priced in the range between €115 to € 165, and if the prices are to be counted than the Argentinian's jerseys have meant that PSG have already earned $100,000,000 in just three days.

Another report states that more than 150 thousand Messi shirts were sold in the first seven minutes since his arrival was confirmed, which just goes to show the amount of fans the 34-year-old has around the globe.

Messi's arrival makes PSG the favourites to win every trophy they participate in this season, including their maiden Champions League title.
