Manchester City star Phil Foden is said to be furious after the company that manages his social media account appeared to call out PSG forward Kylian Mbappe following City's emphatic UEFA Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund.

Foden scored in City's 2-1 win on Wednesday night as Guardiola's men secured a Champions League semi-final spot for the first time since 2015/16.

The young English star put in a great performance in the game but was left red-faced when he saw what his social media team did after the game.

In a social media post on his official Twitter account, Foden tagged Kylian Mbappe's account before saying: "Are you ready" - a caption that received thousands of retweets and likes in a short space of time, although it appears he and his representatives weren't happy with the tone of the tweet.

The post was eventually deleted and Man City's correspondent Sam Lee cleared up the incident.

"Foden didn't post that Mbappe tweet himself, it was done by the company that manage his account." Lee wrote on Twitter following City's win against Borussia Dortmund. "People close to Foden not particularly happy about it and it's been deleted."

Foden's representatives will now hold talks with the company, with The Daily Mail suggesting they 'could well look to end' their relationship.
