Paul Pogba has denied claims that he has been speaking with Manchester United over a contract extension, and insisted that he is focused on France's Euro 2020 campaign.

Pogba is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, and United are eager to tie him down a new deal. However, the Frenchman, who has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Juventus, has claimed that he hasn't been approached by United over a new deal.

Pogba told RMC Sport ahead of France's opening Euro 2020 clash with Germany on Tuesday: "I have one year of my contract left, everyone knows that. There haven't been any concrete offers yet. We finished the season, as I said there was the Europa League final (which United lost to Villarreal on penalties), and after that we finished the holidays.

"We haven't spoken. I am still at Man Utd, the only thought I have for the future is the Euros. I have a little more experience than before. I really want to focus on the present, and the present is the Euros today. All things about the club, when there are competitions like this, I avoid. That's why I have an agent, and he takes care of all that."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side triggered Pogba's one-year extension last September, but the midfielder ended up missing a number of games due to a combination of injuries and a positive coronavirus test. He eventually finished the season with six goals and nine assists to his name from 42 appearances.

Pogba was also asked about his links to Paris Saint-Germain, but insisted he was leaving everything in his agent's hands. “Contacts with Paris? I have an agent that deals with all that,” he said. “I don’t have [PSG president] Nasser [Al-Khelaifi]’s number.

“My only thought, now, is the Euros. I’m focused. I’ve got more experience than before. I’m focused on the present, the Euros.”
