Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly contacted Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, over a potential summer move if Kylian Mbappe were to leave once the transfer window opens.

Contract talks with the Frenchman have reportedly slowed down as Real Madrid continue to chase after him, and Telefoot claim Mauricio Pochettino's side have made Salah their number one target to replace Mbappe.

The report also claims that the Ligue 1 giants are "losing patience" and would be willing to consider a cut-price sale for Mbappe, if he does not agree to a new deal. Salah is contracted to the Reds until 2023, but has previously admitted he would be open to a move elsewhere, with the LaLiga giants his top preference.

Last month Salah hinted he could leave Anfield when asked about a potential transfer to LaLiga.

"It's not up to me," he said. "We will see what happens, but I prefer not to talk about that right now. I hope to be able to play for many more years, so why not? No one knows what is going to happen in the future, so maybe one day, yes."

Liverpool could see the Egyptian leave in the summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. Jurgen Klopp's side are currently sixth on the Premier League table, with seven games left to play, and are three points behind fourth-place West Ham and two points behind Chelsea.
