Mohamed Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, took to social media after his client was subbed off during Liverpool's 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Thursday.

Salah was replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 62nd minute, his earliest substitution since September 2017, leaving fans and the player's bewildered and annoyed. The Reds fell to their fifth successive home defeat - a record for the defending Premier League champions.

The Egyptian looked visibly frustrated as he walked off and his agent immediately took to Twitter to have his say, but instead of offering an explanation or venting his frustration, Ramy Abbas simply published a rather cryptic singular full-stop.

It wasn't long before Liverpool fans everywhere began speculating if this meant the end of Salah's time at Anfield. He has been linked with a move away, with a number of top clubs interested in securing his services. But Jurgen Klopp has repeatedly insisted that there is "no problem" and that Salah is "happy" at Liverpool.

After the match Klopp explained why he took off Salah so early in the game. "I just brought on fresh legs," he said. "Mo [Salah] looked like today he suffered a bit, he played a lot of games. I could have taken off Sadio or Bobby, that is all clear but at that moment it looked like Mo. Milner we bought on to wake them up a bit and keep them in the game because we needed one situation."

Salah is currently the top-scorer in the Premier League with 17 goals. Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes trails in second place with 15 goals, while Tottenham talisman Harry Kane has 14.
