Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has said they will likely have new players joining them ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Arsenal, who finished eighth in the Premier League last season, have already added Nuno Tavares to their ranks, and are expected to seal more transfers before the 21/22 campaign kicks-off, with the club closing in on a deal for Ben White.

Speaking after Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Rangers in a pre-season friendly, Arteta admitted he is expecting 'some new faces' at the club ahead of next season.

"Now a little bit of recovery," Arteta told Arsenal Media. "We trained really hard, played two games, and now we're going to be travelling to America in the next week.

"We didn't have any injuries which is really positive in the first week. We're going to have some new faces arriving probably, so very positive."

Meanwhile, Arsenal have agreed to a £50m deal to sign Brighton centre-back White, and the north London outfit are expected to complete and announce the deal soon.

Arsenal have also been linked with moves for several other players this summer, with Tammy Abraham, Albert Sambi, Renato Sanches and Houssem Aouar among those who have reportedly emerged as a transfer target for the Gunners.
