The Premier League is widely considered as the best and most competitive league in the world, with a number of great players plying their trade in England. As we head into the business end of the 2021/22 season, there have been some who have impressed more than others.
Here, we take a look at midfielders who have scored the most goals so far this season.
1. Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal) - 9 goals in 21 games
Emile Smith Rowe has become one of the most important players for Arsenal ever since breaking through into the first team in the 2020/21 season and is now one of the first names on the team sheet.
The 21-year-old has become the Gunners driving force this season, scoring nine goals and providing two assists so far and his performances from midfield have been the base for their push to finish in the top four come the end of the campaign.

2. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 9 goals in 25 games
Bruno Fernandes continues to remain Manchester United's talisman despite the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer and while he has come in for criticism for his performances in recent times - he has still managed to score nine goals and provide six assists in 25 league appearances so far this season.
The midfielder is yet to hit top form this year and if he does then United stand a great chance of finishing in the top four in the league.

3. Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace) - 8 goals in 22 games
Conor Gallagher joined Chelsea at the age of eight, but it is on loan at Crystal Palace that he has come of age, impressing in midfield as seen by the eight goals and three assists he has provided in 22 games so far.
It has been reported that Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the youngster and will look to ensure that he returns back to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
