'Messi suffered an emotional shock when he left Barcelona,' claims Thierry Henry

Arsenal legend and former Barcelona star, Thierry Henry has opened up on why his former Blaugrana team-mate and record seven-time Ballon d'Or award winner, Lionel Messi is still struggling to adapt to life at Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi who moved to PSG last summer is yet to recapture the form that has made him arguably the greatest player in the history of the sport, telling L'Equipe that "he suffered an emotional shock on leaving the Nou Camp".
"He left Barcelona crying. He suffered an emotional shock because he did not expect to have to leave. People say that he has everything in Paris, but it's not that obvious. When I left Arsenal for Barca, it took me a year to get well. I arrived injured, after a divorce, and I had to learn a new game system," the French legend.

Despite the criticism aimed at the 34-year-old, he has still managed to score seven goals and register 11 assists in 24 appearances in all competitions and still remains key if PSG are to win their maiden Champions League trophy come the end of the season.
It will be interesting to see if the Argentina icon will recapture his old form as we head into the business end of the season.
