Argentina icon, Lionel Messi's entourage have reportedly distanced themselves from reports that the record seven-time Ballon d'Or award winner is not happy with Paris Saint-Germain manager, Mauricio Pochettino's tactical ability, insisting that such reports are "fake news".

PSG have been brilliant in Ligue 1 this season with the club currently 11 points clear of nearest rivals Rennes in the league, while also qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League. Despite this, Pochettino has come in for criticism for his tactics, with many hitting out at him for failing to get the best out of his front-three of Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

French press reports targeted Pochettino's tactics as being 'too restrictive and frustrating' for Ballon D'or winner Messi, however as per Sportsmail, sources close to the superstar have reiterated that Pochettino and Messi share a "good" relationship, and that the former Tottenham Hotspur boss' presence was an important factor in the forward's decision to move to Paris from Barcelona last summer.

The report goes on to state that Messi and his entourage have no problem at all with Pochettino and that the claims are 'totally false' as the bond between coach and player 'remains good' and they continue to work closely together.

Pochettino who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, is understood to be under pressure as the management want him to lead them to their maiden Champions League title, which just might decide his future at the club.
