Cameroon and Barcelona legend, Samuel Eto'o was not too pleased with a journalist who had asked him how it felt like to play alongside record six-time Ballon d'Or winner, Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.
Eto'o played alongside Messi at Barcelona, with the Argentina icon making his debut when the Central African was already an established player at the club. The duo went on to enjoy great success together, before the 40-year-old eventually left for Inter Milan in 2009.
When asked by a journalist, "You talk about Messi, what can [Ansu Fati] learn from Messi? You obviously played with him," Eto'o snapped back by replying, "No. He played with me; it is different. Messi played with me. I did not play with Messi. In my time, Messi played with me. It is totally different. It is totally different."
The Cameroonian established himself as one of the best strikers in the world during his time at the Nou Camp, scoring 130 goals in just 199 appearances in all competitions, playing a key role in the Catalan outfit winning three LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Champions League honours.
Messi meanwhile has gone on to dominate football, with many hailing him as the greatest player in the history of the sport, with the striker creating/breaking numerous records and winning numerous professional and individual honours.
