Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford took to social networking site, Twitter to send a message Donny van de Beek after the player joined Everton on loan until the end of this season.
Van de Beek struggled for gametime at United despite being bought amid high expectations in September 2020 for 40million and his situation at Old Trafford led to a host of clubs expressing an interest in signing him.
Crystal Palace was said to be keen to sign the Dutchman, but Everton finally won the race after incoming manager Frank Lampard convinced him to sign for them, with the club paying his entire £120,000-a-week wage packet for the remainder of this term. He will wear the number 30 shirt.
His move led to Rashford to send a message, tweeting," My brother. Go show them what you can do."
It will be interesting to see how the Dutchman performs at Goodison Park considering that while at Ajax he was hailed as one of the best young midfielders at the world, only for his reputation to fall away while at United.
The player could make his debut for Everton when they host Brentford at home in the Premier League on Sunday, 7 February.
