Manchester United have reportedly been linked (yet again) with Ivan Perisic as they consider other alternatives to Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho. United still consider Sancho their number one target but are currently unwilling to meet Dortmund's £108m asking price for the England winger.
However, according to the Telegraph, United are beginning to turn their attention to other possible options. Perisic has emerged as the newest name United are considering with the Croatia international spending last season on loan with Bayern Munich.
The Inter star flourished on loan at Bayern last season, starring as the club won the Champions League crown.
United previously hoped to sign the Croatia international in the summer of 2017 but, with Inter demanding £50m, the deal didn’t go ahead. The Red Devils hierarchy supposedly thought Perisic wasn’t marketable enough to be signed and, as a result, he slipped through the net.
United have also been linked to wantaway Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale, with the Spanish club reportedly willing to pay half of the winger's £600,000-a-week wages in order for him to move elsewhere.
United have made just one major signing so far in this transfer window, bringing in midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax for £40m. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to add a wide player before the transfer window closes next month.
