Manchester Evening News claim Man Utd are unlikely to make any more signings before the summer transfer windows slams shut, despite being linked with a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.


Mbappe on Man Utd's list of potential transfer targets

ESPN claim Kylian Mbappe is on Man Utd's list of potential transfer targets as the club look to sign a centre-forward in the 2022 summer transfer window.

Mbappe's current contract with PSG is due to expire at the end of this season, and he has been linked with an exit from the Ligue One outfit. However, it's Real Madrid - and not Man Utd, who are the favourites to sign Mbappe in the next summer transfer window, with Los Blancos said to be the Frenchman's preferred destination.

Sheffield United interested in signing Diallo on loan

Sky Sports report Sheffield United are interested in signing Amad Diallo on loan from Man Utd. Diallo could find his playing time limited this season after Man Utd finally landed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer. The English outlet add the Red Devils may allow Diallo to leave in search of more playing minutes, but are yet to make a decision on the same.

Paul Scholes believes Paul Pogba will sign a new contract and stay at Manchester United now that the Red Devils have a squad that 'can go on and win trophies'.

Varane's message to Man Utd fans

Varane, who was unveiled as a Man Utd player ahead of their clash with Leeds, thanks fans for the atmosphere at Old Trafford. “Hi everyone, I’m very excited to be here,” the centre-back told the club's official website.

“Thanks for the atmosphere at Old Trafford - thank you very much. I’m very happy to be here and I’m ready to work hard.”


Man Utd register impressive win over Leeds United

The Red Devils thrashed Leeds United for 5-1 in their Premier League opener with Bruno Fernandes, who scored a hat-trick, and Paul Pogba, who bagged four assists, hugely impressive for the side. Mason Greenwood and Fred also scored a goal each. Meanwhile, Luke Ayling scored Leeds United's only goal of the match.


Sancho on the bench for Man Utd's clash with Leeds

Man Utd's starting XI for their Premier League 2021/22 opener with Leeds has been named, and summer arrival Jadon Sancho is on the bench, but is expected to be given some minutes in the the second-half.
