Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, despite failing to agree on a deal for him last summer.

Dortmund refused to budge on their asking price for Sancho and the Red Devils were not able to sign their main transfer target. But according to The Manchester Evening News, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have not given up hopes on signing the England international.

United are also interested in Sacho's team-mate, Erling Haaland, who is a main target for a number of top clubs in Europe. Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke last week admitted the club would be prepared to sell Sancho for an 'exceptional offer'.

"I'm not getting involved in probabilities, it's no good. Jadon Sancho has been with us much longer than Erling Haaland. We'll have to speak to Jadon, too," he said. "If there is an exceptional offer we will discuss it with the player and the agent, as always."

Solskjaer brought in youngsters Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri for a combined £46million and both can play on the right - the same as Sancho, but the Old Trafford outfit are keen on closing a deal for the 21-year-old.

The former Manchester City star is contracted to Dortmund until 2023, and has managed to score 12 goals and contribute with 16 assists this season despite battling injuries.
