A number of Manchester United stars are reportedly feeling 'misled' by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite receiving assurances from the manager in the summer.
Several players, including Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard, and Anthony Martial opted out of moves during the summer transfer window because they believed they would play a greater role for the Red Devils. But over the course of the season, they have seen limited game time due to Solskjaer's reluctance to rotate his squad.
United have suffered a massive decline in form in the last couple of weeks and six defeats from the last 12 fixtures have sparked speculation over the Norwegian's future at Old Trafford.
According to The Telegraph, Van de Beek, Lingard, Martial, Dean Henderson, Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, Diogo Dalot, Juan Mata, are unhappy with Solskjaer as they believed they would be given more playing time.
Following the international break, United enter into a period of five games in 15 days, and Solskjaer has a tough time ahead as he looks to try to save his job.
Van de Beek has started a total of four top-flight games since moving from Ajax, and has played just 15 minutes in the Premier League this term. Meanwhile, Lingard returned from a loan spell at West Ham in the summer, and was persuaded to stay on at United, but is yet to start a league game, and his deal expires at the end of the current season.
Martial has fallen down in the pecking order at United with Cristiano Ronaldo, Mason Greenwood, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho ahead of the Frenchman as it stands.
