Manchester United are becoming increasingly confident that star midfielder Paul Pogba will not leave the club in the summer transfer window, according to Daily Star.

Pogba's current contract with Man United expires in 2022, but he has already been linked with an exit from the Premier League club in the summer, with Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain mooted as potential destinations for the Frenchman.

Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, had, in December, said the midfielder's time at Man United is 'over', which intensified speculations that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

However, Pogba seems to have rediscovered his best form in recent weeks, and it was his wonderful goal that won United all three points in their 2-1 win over Fulham in the Premier League earlier this week.

Daily Star claim Pogba has developed 'a stronger relationship' with Man United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and he believes the Red Devils 'can go on and land some big trophies in the next 18 months to help him fulfil his ambitions at club level'.

Meanwhile, Man United have emerged as genuine Premier League title contenders this season, and currently sit top of the table, with two points more than Man City who have a game in hand. The Old Trafford-based outfit face Liverpool in the FA Cup in their next game, and a win over the Reds could boost the team's confidence.
