Manchester City fans have slammed the defending Premier League champions and Puma for producing the 'worst kit design of all-time'.

City described the kit as a "bold new progressive" design as they worked with Puma to try and shake things up from the more traditional look each kit seems to have. However, it feels like they probably stretched things a bit too much, and fans are not impressed.

The kit immediately stands out for the fact that the club’s name is featured at the heart of the kit with the iconic Puma logo now above the capitalised ‘Man City’ on the front, and sponsors 'Etihad Airways' placed under the club’s name.

However, the kit has been met with severe backlash on social media.

The Premier League champions confirmed that the kit will launch in Puma stores, the Etihad Stadium store, and other retailers from 19th August, and will cost £70, with the shorts retailing at £35.

City captain Fernandinho told the club’s official website: “I wanted something different, and we definitely got that, I really like the design because the badge may change over time, but the name will live on forever.”
