Manchester United are reportedly trying hard to trim their squad as they plan to sell nine players this summer apart from Paul Pogba in order to gather funds to sign more players.
The Red Devils have had a decent start to the summer as they have snapped up Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane early on in the transfer window, addressing two big concerns in their squad.
There are multiple other positions that need strengthening at United. However, according to reports, Solskjaer was handed a £100 million transfer budget, which has now been used on the two deals for Sancho and Varane.
This means that in order to buy any other players, Solskjaer will have to sell some players from his squad.
According to ESPN, there are nine players that Ole is looking to part ways with, excluding Paul Pogba.
The report reveals the nine United players to be Jesse Lingard, Brandon Williams, Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Andreas Pereira, Daniel James and Axel Tuanzebe.
This list does not include Pogba as the club are trying to get him to sign a new contract, but the Frenchman has reportedly set his heart on moving to PSG for free next summer.
Pogba has already reportedly turned down United's first offer for renewal and if he does not seem to agree a new deal this summer, it won't be a surprise to see him leave Old Trafford in the current transfer window.
It has been reported that United are willing to sell Pogba for £50m and use the money to fund future transfers.
The Red Devils are looking for a defensive midfielder and a right-back in order to complete a 10/10 transfer window this summer. But it all depends on money from sales.
Players like Eduardo Camavinga, Leon Goretzka and Ruben Neves have been linked with a move to Old Trafford already.
