Maybe Manchester City are too good. Maybe Arsenal are too awful. Maybe both statements are true.

Anyway, Man City have crushed Arsenal with a commanding and comfortable 5-0 win - a defeat which could prove too costly for Mikel Arteta as his side sit 20th in the Premier League table with 0 - yes, ZERO - points from three fixtures.

Seven minutes is all it took Man City to score the first goal of the afternoon as Ilkay Gundogan headed home. Five minutes later Ferran Torres found the back of the net from close range to give City a two-goal lead.

Arsenal were down to 10 men after Granit Xhaka was sent off in the 35th minute. City were 3-0 up at half-time as Gabriel Jesus slid the ball in from six yards in the 43rd minute.

12 minutes into the second-half, Rodri took City's goal tally to 4, smashing into the bottom right corner from outside the box.

Torres bagged his second goal and City's fifth of the game in the 84th minute to cap off an impressive win for Pep Guardiola's side.

Meanwhile, with the victory City moved to third in the table, with six points from three matches, but could slip further down by the end of the matchday.
