Spain and Real Madrid legend, Iker Casillas has hailed current Los Blancos manager as "magnificent", revealing that the achievements of the French legend have earned him the right to turn things around at the Bernabeu.
Zidane who is in his second spell as manager at the Bernabeu has come under increased pressure following Madrid's poor performances off late after his side registered just one win in their last five games across all competitions.
Madrid have won just five of the 10 games they have played in LaLiga, while struggling in the Champions League as they are currently placed third in their Group following the 2-0 loss at the hands of Shakhtar Donetsk.
Amid growing rumours that Zidane will get the sack, Casillas wants the club to place more trust in a man who led them to three consecutive Champions League titles.
"Zizou is a magnificent coach, a good friend and will do everything possible to have Madrid as high up as possible. You cannot live in the past, but he has earned the right for trust," he told AS.
The Los Blancos are currently placed fifth in LaLiga ahead of their game against Sevilla on Saturday, while they must beat Borussia Monchengladbach in their final Champions League group B game in order to qualify for the knockout stages.
