Footballing superstars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are widely considered as two of the greatest players in the history of the sport, with the duo dominating football for more than a decade as seen by the combined 11 Ballon d'Or awards they have won between themselves.
Ever since the duo made their debut there has been this debate raging on who is a better player between the two and now Manchester United starlet, Mason Greenwood has given his view on he believes is greater.
"For me, it's always got to be Messi. For me, he's just on another planet. Ronaldo is obviously amazing, a physical, great athletic footballer. But to do what Messi does at his size, what he's done for Barcelona and winning that trophy for Argentina, he is just on another level," he told MUFC website.
Greenwood's answer would not make the Red Devils fans too happy considering that Ronaldo is a United legend, having spent six years at Old Trafford between 2003 to 2009, making 292 appearances, scoring 118 goals and leading the club to three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and the 2008 Champions League trophy.
It was at United where the Portugal skipper developed into a great player and he is still held in high esteem for his heroics at Old Trafford. The 36-year-old's performances saw him win two consecutive PFA Player of the Year awards before he eventually moved to Real Madrid in 2009.
