Lionel Messi reportedly did not know the reason why Neymar moved to PSG

Lionel Messi has opened about the transfer of his close friend and team-mate Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, with the striker reportedly not aware of the reasons why the Brazilian left the Nou Camp side.

Neymar moved to PSG in what still remains the world record transfer, with many believing that he left the Catalan giants to escape from Messi's shadow. A new documentary reveals that the Argentinian was not really aware of the reasons for his friends exit from the club.

"I don't know exactly what the reason for the change was and he never told us either," Messi had said in a Whatsapp group that involved both Neymar and Luis Suarez.

The move came just months after Barca’s famous 'La Remontada' against PSG in the Champions League, defeating the French club 6-1 at the Camp Nou after a 4-0 reverse scoreline in Paris.

"I felt a unique feeling of happiness, it was one of the best days of my career, that's why I got this tattoo (points to leg): 1% luck, 99% faith," Neymar had revealed about his experience of the game.

Messi and Neymar are now reunited in France and it will be interesting to see whether they will be able to lead the French side to their first ever Champions League trophy.
