The 33-year-old went past Spanish legend, Xavi Hernandez who made 767 appearances before calling time on his illustrious career in 2015.
The striker who holds most of the records at the club in his 768 appearances has won 537, drawn 140 and lost 91, winning 34 trophies so far at the Nou Camp. His appearance against Real Sociedad takes his domestic league total to 511 - with 149 Champions League games, 79 in the Copa Del Rey, 20 in the Spanish Super Cup, five in the Club World Cup and four in the European Super Cup completing the numbers.
The Argentinian has been his usual brilliant self in front of goal this season, scoring 29 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions as he looks to lead the club to the LaLiga and Copa del Rey title.
