Lionel Messi has said he dreams of winning the Champions League again as he was presented as a Paris Saint-Germain player on Wednesday.

Messi, who had been a free agent agent since his Barcelona contract expired at the end of June, has signed a two-year contract with PSG, with option for another year.

PSG had already done some impressive business in the summer transfer window as they had landed Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georginio Wijnaldum on free transfers and signed Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan, and Messi's signing has raised the fans' expectations of the team even higher.

And, Messi has stated his goal and dream is to win the Champions League again, which he has already won four times with Barcelona. "My goal and my dream is to win the Champions League again. I think that we have the team to do it here," Messi said, as quoted by Marca.

Meanwhile, Messi also revealed Neymar played a key role in his transfer to PSG.

The 34-year-old said: "Ney played a significant role in my arrival. I have a lot of acquaintances in the dressing room, and when you look at the squad you get excited, of course. Both PSG and I have the same goals, and hopefully we can achieve them together. Neymar, [Angel] Di Maria, [Leandro] Paredes... there are many friends in [the squad]."
