Lionel Messi Hosts Barcelona Squad for Lunch Ahead of Crucial Clash Against Atletico Madrid

Barcelona icon, Lionel Messi reportedly held a team lunch at his house Castelldefels on Monday as the club prepare for the do or die clash with table toppers, Atletico Madrid this weekend in what could determine the Catalan giants hopes of clinching the title.

Messi who has been his usual brilliant self in front of goal this season gathered the squad at his property in Castelldefels, a seaside town outside of Barcelona, after Monday's training session ahead of what could prove a defining week in the title race.

As per ESPN, the players partners were also invited to the event which was held to bring the squad together in a different environment before the Atletico game.

Barcelona are currently placed third in the LaLiga table with 74 points, two points behind Atletico and despite their position club president, Joan Laporta expressed his belief that four wins will guarantee Barca the title.

"I said before the weekend that if we win all five remaining games, we're convinced we will win the league. Now it's four wins to win the title." he said.

It will be interesting to see whether Barcelona can win the title considering that the likes of Real Madrid and Sevila are in the race to win the league title.
