Lionel Messi has returned back to Paris & is training alone after negative COVID test

Record seven-time Ballon d'Or award winner, Lionel Messi has returned back to training at Paris Saint-Germain after testing negative for COVID-19 on his return to France, with Diario Sport claiming that the Argentina icon is currently training alone in order to get back to action at the earliest.
Messi had tested positive for COVID-19 while on his Christmas break in Argentina, which delayed his return back to Paris. However, the striker is back to training and is looking forward to being fit for PSG's upcoming game against Lyon which takes place this weekend.
The 34-year-old was not the only PSG player to have tested for the virus, with Layvin Kurzawa, Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Danilo Pereira and Nathan Bitumazala too joining him on the sidelines.

The French giants have the luxury of giving Messi another week of rest considering that they are flying high in the Ligue 1, topping the league table with 46 points and are currently lead second placed, Nice by 13 points.
The 34-year-old for his part is yet to settle at the French capital, managing to score only one goal so far in 11 appearances in the league - though he has looked his usual brilliant self in front of goal in the Champions League, with five in five matches.
