Liam Gallagher and Marcus Rashford led the tributes to Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, who is set to leave the club once the current season ends.
City's record goal-scorer will be leaving the Etihad after spending a decade with the Premier League giants, where he has won four league titles and scored 257 goals across competitions so far.
The club have revealed that Aguero will be immortalised with a statue outside the stadium, with fellow club legends David Silva and Vincent Kompany set to accompany him.
And die-hard City fan, Gallagher paid a special tribute to Aguero on Twitter, saying: "To the 1 n only SERGIO AGUERO thankyou for all the good times you brought to our club you absolute LEGEND good luck in the future LG x"
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford also praised Aguero as a "great player", and a number of other footballers pitched in with their tributes, too.
Fans took to social media to reminisce about the time the Argentine has spent at the club, with even rivals fans admitting that Aguero will be missed in the Premier League.
