The Ballon d'Or award is the highest individual honour a player can win and an image of what seems to be the final standings for this year's Ballon d'Or award standings have been leaked online with Bayern Munich hitman, Robert Lewandowski leading the standings.

The picture is reportedly from France Football is dated from October 25 and it has already sparked debate online, centering on the veracity of the document. If the image leaked is genuine than it means that Lewandowski will win his first honour on November 29.

As per the image, Lewandowski has garnered 627 points from the 176 voting nations to top the list, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Lionel Messi who would miss out on an seventh crown. Real Madrid and France striker, Karim Benzema comes in third with 526 points after enjoying a brilliant season for both club and country.

The Polish hitman meanwhile has established himself as the best striker in the world over the past three years and has continued that brilliant form this season too, netting 17 goals in 14 games so far.

Many believed that he deserved to win the award last year only for the ceremony to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic as he has been sensational in front of goal. Messi meanwhile has been tipped as the favourite to win the award after leading Argentina to their first Copa America title since 1993.
