It has been quite a turnaround, hasn't it?
FC Barcelona were not even in the La Liga title race some time back, but the Catalan outfit have spectacularly clawed their way back into it, and now, with just six games remaining, they have got an opportunity to move to the league summit.
Ronald Koeman's side sit third in the league table, level on points with second-placed Real Madrid and two behind leaders Atletico Madrid, both of whom have played a game more.
They face Granada on Thursday, and a win will take them to the top of the table, which Atletico Madrid have been occupying for long.
It's a feat not many would have placed their bet on Barcelona to achieve at a time when they were struggling for form. Yet, here we are!
Barcelona have simply been superb - they have not been perfect, but still - in the Spanish top-flight since the turn of the year, and as other title contenders began to stutter and falter, the Blaugrana began to close gap on the leaders and gain more and more ground in the race to become the champions of Spain.
Then, on La Liga matchday 32, everything - well, most of the things - swung Barcelona's way. First, Real Madrid were held to a goalless draw by Real Betis. Then, Barcelona came from behind to defeat Villareal. Then, Atletico Madrid succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao, which meant a draw would be enough for the Catalans against Simeone's side should they win their rest of the matches to reclaim the title they lost to Real Madrid last season.
With the league in its final stretch, and Barcelona's fate in their own hands, the league title is now truly theirs to lose.
