Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe and recently launched a €160million bid to sign the striker, though the bid was rejected by the Ligue 1 giants who want more money for the superstar.

Mbappe for his part has expressed his desire to leave the club and will not extend his contract which expires in the summer of 2022. With the Los Blancos looking like his most likely destination, here we take a look at their potential XI should the Frenchman join them.

Thibaut Courtois has established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet at the Bernabeu, with the Belgian showing just why he is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Madrid managed to land David Alaba for free in the summer, with the Austrian signing a five-year deal with the Spanish giants. Capable of playing both in defence and in central midfield, the 29-year-old is an astute signing and has already slotted well in defence at the club.

Eder Militao was signed amid huge expectations from Porto in 2019, and while he has struggled to cement his place in the side - there is no doubt that he shown glimpses of his talent so far.

The centre-back is only 23-years-old and has all the time to improve, with the Brazilian no doubt benefitting from a sustained run in the side.

5. RB - Dani Carvajal

Dani Carvajal has put in consistent performances on a regular basis for nine seasons for Madrid and his consistency has led to the club tying him down till 2025.

The Spaniard has over time become one of the most important players for the Los Blancos and a leader in the dressing room.

After Karim Benzema, Casemiro is without doubt the most important player in Madrid squad as he is the one player makes the team tick on the field. The Brazilian is only 29, and there is no doubt that the management will not let him go in the future under any circumstances.

7. CM - Toni Kroos

The 2018 Ballon d'Or award winner and greatest Croatian player of all-time, Luka Modric is coming to the end of his illustrious career - but continues to display his dazzling talent on a regular basis.

Modric is 35-years-old and it is of great importance for the management to find a suitable replacement for him once he decides to hang up his boots.

9. LW - Eden Hazard

Madrid splurged a staggering €100million for the signature of Eden Hazard in 2019 amid great expectations, and it is safe to say that he has failed to live up to the hype and price-tag at the Bernabeu.

The Belgian has struggled with fitness issues and form, managing to make only 45 appearances for them in over two seasons.

10. RW - Kylian Mbappe
