Karim Benzema has claimed that Kylian Mbappe has all the qualities to one day play for Real Madrid and urged his French teammate to consider making the switch to Los Blancos.
Mbappe has been linked with a transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu for a long time, and with the French superstar approaching the final 12 months of his contract, rumours linking him away from Paris Saint-Germain have intensified.
Both Liverpool and Madrid are keen on landing the talented 22-year-old, and Benzema has no doubt his compatriot would be a huge hit in the Spanish capital. “Mbappe at Real? We'll see what happens, but in any case, he is welcome in Madrid. He has all the qualities to be a Real Madrid player, one day I hope,” Benzema told M6.
PSG sporting director Leonardo has previously insisted that their star player isn't for sale this summer, but if Mbappe refuses to commit to a new deal, the Ligue 1 giants might consider selling him before the start of the new season.
However, Mbappe is sure to command a considerable fee north of £100million, and his hefty wages could prove to be a stumbling block for the LaLiga side, who are facing debts of over £1billion.
