Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema has been in brilliant form for the Los Blancos ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left in the summer of 2018, with the Frenchman becoming arguably the clubs most important player since then.
Benzema was among the goals once again during Madrid's 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga on Saturday, scoring in the first half to take his goal tally to 10 in the league and 14 overall in all competitions.
His goal on the night meant that he has now reached the 10-goal mark in eleven of his thirteen seasons in La Liga while in the Spanish capital. The striker is only behind former Barcelona icon, Lionel Messi on the list - with the Argentinian scoring 10 plus goals a staggering 15 times during his time in Spain.
Not including the current campaign, Benzema has hit over 20-goals in the league for three consecutive seasons; the only period in his career in which he has managed to achieve such a feat. With 65-goals in 107-appearances in the least three league campaigns, the Frenchman is having his best ever goal return in his career and is poised to reach the 30-goal mark for the first time.
The 33-year-old has so far scored 293 goals in 574 appearances for Madrid, and sits fourth in the club's all-time goalscoring charts.
