Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has hailed Karim Benzema, revealing that the Frenchman's goalscoring form puts him on the same level as the likes of Manchester United's, Cristiano Ronaldo and Borussia Dortmund's, Erling Haaland.
Benzema has become the talisman of the Madrid side following the departure of Ronaldo in the summer of 2018 and has continued his brilliant form this season too as seen by the 20 goals he has scored in 23 appearances so far this campaign.
The 34-year-old has been key to Madrid's success this season as his goals has fired the Los Blancos to the top of the LaLiga table, with the club holding an eight-point lead over second placed, Sevilla.
Ancelotti for his part believes that Benzema is "the best striker in the world" at the moment.
"I think so, because to his game he's added a massive, regular ability to put the ball in the back of the net. He's at the level of Cristiano Ronaldo or Haaland. Benzema is a player who makes a difference. We saw it once again in the game against Athletic, with two goals in quick succession. He's in amazing form," he told AS.
The striker who has been at Madrid since the 2009/10 season has so far scored 299 goals in 582 appearances for the club, helping them win the LaLiga title thrice and the Champions League four times.
