Juventus will be reviving their interest in France and Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, according to reports.
Aouar, 22, was a transfer target of Arsenal, Juventus and PSG in the summer, but none of them could manage to seal a deal for the highly-rated midfielder before the transfer window slammed shut earlier this month.
Arsenal were the frontrunners to acquire the services of Aouar, but the offer they made to Lyon was not high enough.
While Arsenal missed out on Aouar, who was one of their top transfer targets, they managed to land a deal for Thomas Partey. The Gunners triggered the Ghanaian's release clause of €50m on the deadline day to sign him from Atletico Madrid, and, as a result, may not have the funds to pursue a move for Aouar.
Now, Juventus could jump ahead of the Premier League side in the race for Aouar, as Calciomercato [via ESPN] report that the defending Seria A champions will be reigniting their transfer interest in the French midfielder.
It has also been reported that the Old Lady have already enquired Lyon what their demands will be for the 22-year-old midfielder next year, and they are said to be already working on a transfer strategy to sign him.
It will be interesting to see who manages to win the race for Aouar, who is considered to be one of the best young midfielders in the world.
