Juventus have reportedly identified Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero as a target they want to bring in during the summer transfer window.

According to Italian media outlet Sport Mediaset, Andrea Pirlo's side want to sign the Argentine as a strike partner for Cristiano Ronaldo to spearhead their attack.

Aguero is out of contract at the end of the current season, and has reportedly not yet held talks over a new contract. However, Juventus aren't the only club interested in the 31-year-old. Earlier this week, Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta revealed that he wants to make the City man his statement signing of the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, if he is elected, Laporta will try to bring Aguero to Camp Nou and play him alongside his long-term friend, Lionel Messi. A number of other clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Inter, are also interested in signing Aguero.

However, the City hierarchy have made it clear that he is still a player they would like to hold on to, with Pep Guardiola insisting that Aguero remains an important part of his squad. "He's going to help," said Guardiola. "We need him in this part of the season. There will be games that will be tight and difficult and we need Kun. He has a special talent and quality."
