Italian club Juventus are looking to stack up their midfield after last season's Serie A disappointment.

The Old Lady suffered in midfield almost throughout the season and have ensured that they need to concentrate on signing players in that area this summer.

They appointed sporting director Federico Cherubini to work on these issues and Juventus are now reported to be considering signing two young midfielders from France after intense scouting in this summer's transfer window.

According to Tuttosport via Calciomercato, Juventus are considering Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco and Bruno Guimaraes from Ligue 1 club Lyon.

21-year-old Tchouameni came through the ranks at Bordeaux. Primarily of Cameroonian origin, the young midfielder has played 46 games for Monaco, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

23-year-old Bruno Guimaraes hails from Brazil and has been featuring for Lyon since January 2020 after completing a 20 million euro switch from Athletico Paranaense.

Juventus will find it pretty difficult to complete the Guimaraes deal considering the player has been deemed "non-transferable" by Lyon.

It remains to be seen how Juventus react to these couple of options for Locatelli.

There also remains a chance that the Bianconeri are using these two names in the market only to create pressure on Sassuolo to sell Locatelli at a more favourable price instead of losing the money they will be receiving for the Italian.
