Jamie Carragher has named Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale as his Premier League summer signing of the season so far.
Ramsdale arrived at the Emirates in the summer and has instantly become a favourite following some brilliant performances between the sticks. He has become Mikel Arteta's first-choice option with nine clean sheets from 16 games this season.
And Sky Sports pundit Carragher has explained why Ramsdale is his signing of the season so far.
"I went for Ramsdale because it was almost the biggest surprise to me," said Carragher on Monday Night Football.

"When they brought him in, I thought they were bringing him in as backup, and almost bringing him in because he was an English player, for the quota. He hadn't impressed me in his Premier League time at Sheffield United and Bournemouth.
"It's not just the saves he's made, he's a personality, he's a character. I just think he's got a presence about him that I didn't see that he had, and I think he's had a big impact on the team."
Ramsdale joined Arsenal last summer from Sheffield United for £30m and has quickly endeared himself to the Gunners' faithful.
The England international has impressed with his performances in goal and his hilarious sh*thousery in front of Leeds' fans during the 4-1 win last weekend.

Ramsdale has admitted he was shocked Arsenal were willing to pay big bucks for him. Speaking to Ben Foster on his The Cycling GK YouTube channel, Ramsdale said: "The numbers which were getting thrown out, there were a couple of times where I lost my head, and it was just like, 'How can someone be saying £40million for me?'
"I was doing the fan thing: relegated, £40m, it doesn't make sense."
