Jack Grealish's agent has insisted that Manchester United aren't the only club interested in signing the Aston Villa captain this summer.

The Red Devils have been linked with a big-money move for the England international following yet another successful season in the Premier League.

Manchester City have also been linked to the 25-year-old and his agent, Jonathan Barnett has suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are not frontrunners to sign his client.

He told SNTV: “The truth is we don’t know [what will happen]. There are many clubs [interested] and I wouldn’t put Manchester United at the top of that [list]. But he could stay as well. It’s a conversation the club, Aston Villa, will have with Jack and ourselves then we’ll see where we go.”

Grealish returned to training over the weekend after being sidelined for 12 games with shin injury. The Villa talisman has six goals and 10 assists in 22 league appearances this term, and manager Dean Smith insisted his star players is "itching" to get back to first-team action.

He said: “As I’ve said many times, we want him (Grealish) back as soon as possible, but we’ve got to do it right as well. We obviously had a spike in his loading last time and we had a reaction, so we have to make sure that we’re very conservative with our approach this time with it. He’s itching to get back, we’re itching to get him back, but we’re led by the medical staff."
