Paris Saint-Germain winger, Angel Di Maria has admitted that it would be "wonderful" to team up with fellow countryman, Lionel Messi at Paris, amid speculation that the Argentinian could leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
Messi's future at the Nou Camp has been under intense speculation the whole season, considering that his current contract with the club expires at the end of the season - with the player himself yet to agree to new terms with the Catalan giants.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a move to PSG and despite linking up with the record six-time Ballon d'Or award winner for Argentina, Di Maria is hopeful that they can play together in France.
“From my whole career, from everything I've seen, I think Leo is from another planet. (...) To have him as a team-mate would be wonderful. But he is a Barcelona player, he has a contract. After that, we'll see. I talk a lot with him and I always tell him that the important thing is his happiness and that of his family. It's hard to say anything else," he told beIN Sports.
It will be interesting to see what Messi eventually decides to do in the summer, with the player for his part confirming that he would only take a decision once the season ends.
